I got my 2006 January and now the weather is nice enough here in Northern Michigan to ride about 40 degrees (freezing) but no snow finally! . After the Sectary of State took all my money with registration, tittle, and the motorcycle endorsement. I am finally able to ride!! I've gone about 200 miles just around town and it is a blast! I averaged about 50 mpg is that low? Also what is the ideal RPM when riding? Heres a pic I took it with my phone so its bad you can hardly see the bike but it was a awesome sunset last night and you can see the ice in the bay still.

Hey hey ! Congratulations on starting a new life ! No really, it's just like riding a bike, it's fun, addictive, and you get to go places in a way you hadn't dreamed before. You picture is beautiful, thanks for sharing that with us, now make sure and snap some with a nice camera so we can add them to our libraries of beautiful places. ;)
Welcome to gstwins also. Take your time, browse around, do your pre-ride checklists, and be here for NEXT spring too ;)
Na, 50MPG is about average. you can squeeze more out of it with gentle riding, and staying off the interstate. I usually average 45-50 mpg, depending on how much I wring it out.
Enjoy the ride man, and welcome again. :)
where in northern michigan do you live? Love that pic!
I live in Petoskey
