Title: Anyone have a Factory Serive Manual for a 2005 GS500?
Post by: csnowman00 on April 16, 2008, 03:49:01 PM
I am trying to replace the crank bearings on my GS500 and accidently popped out the crank balancer.  Now, I do not know how to line it up.  For Example, what position should it be in when the engine is in TDC?

I have a manual on order (it sucks a clymer is not made yet), but it will take 2 weeks.  Can anyone please help me with this.  If I can get this right, I will be riding this weekend.  If not, I will have to wait weeks.    Thanks way ahead of time.

There is a "dot" on the counterbalancer drive gear, that needs to be lined with a dot that is on the crankshaft drive gear. This would be the two gears that connect the crank and the counterbalancer.
