I found out that the clutch side cyl wasn't firing. So I replaced the coil with a used one I had.I cut the wire end off a little and greased it before screwing it back in the coil.Fired her up ran great for about 2miles....
Then about a quarter mile going back to the house it dropped the same cyl.No fire at all on that cyl.
What do you think is going on?????? :cookoo: :cookoo: Great weather here and I'm Stuck!
Auxillary f*(king ground.
Cool.
Buddha.
Sorry Buddha...I don't follow.......Where they at??
:dunno_white:

Yup auxillary ground. The extra black wire from negative battery post. The smaller one, poor contact = one cyl missing ... problem is, on different bikes its a different cylinder. I have lost left and right due to this problem on 2 different bikes.
Also the crank trigger could be a problem too.
Thank's Ronin :icon_mrgreen:Found it in one of your post.....
found the one at the battery...it looks fine no crud on it,connection is fine. Are there any others?
Battery to wiring harness ... never mind the crud, take it off, get a nail file, scratch it up, twist the tongue part and shove it back in ... then try it.
Cool.

Thanks Buddha!  I had another question also.Unlocked my gas tank today and POOF sprayed gas everywhere. It had alot of pressure in the tank. The vent in the cap is clear.... :o
Positive pressure ??? not vacuum ???
How ??? Something is wrong.
Cool.
Buddha.
Have you had any major temperature swings in your area? (i.e. maybe you filled the tank on a cold morning and now it heated up and expanded).
Well it was 38 last night and over 77 today when I opened it....I belive the petcock is screwy. The PO has the line exiting the rear of the petcock going to the T on the carbs and the two from the tank going to the front of the petcock.Vac line is as stock..Go figure. :cookoo:It will only flow on ON.
Well..Checked the spark tonight..it has greatspark. So tommorrow I'll check the little Oring in the top of the carb and the diaphram in that carb.I've ordered the Honda petcock and it'll be in Fri...So until then dont know what else to check. ;)
I just don't see how a faulty petcock could result in positive pressure in the tank :dunno_white: I think the two are unrelated.
I found this post and it sounds like my problem.....http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=6892.0
Well..think I solved the tank pressure problem.I just unscrewed the bottom screws a little more on the botom of the cap to loosen the spring tension on the ring under it.
As far as the left cyl not firing.I went out today and disconnected the vac line from the petcock. The idle dropped,I put my finger over the vac line and it has great vac pressure.Funny thing was as I reattached the vac line the left cyl started firing!! Something in the petcock is screwing with the left cyl! :nono:
As I said yesterday I've ordered a Honda petcock to change to gravity feed.So maybe that will do away with the problem altogether.
Moral of the story exspect the unexspected. The petcock being messed up shouldn't have anything to do with one cyl not firing BUT it did! :icon_mrgreen:
