The frame has no paperwork. You can file for a new title in your state if you want to do that. The vin on the frame is clean, but no title. Thats why its priced the way it is:)

Brake master cylinders are pretty universal limited usually only by the length of brake lines, and the diameter of the bar its being mounted too.

I think you would be fine on this one.
Title: Re: Parts for cheap
Post by: Trwhouse on May 02, 2008, 11:40:24 AM
Hi there,
I wouldn't use this master cylinder on a GSX750 and here's why-- that bike has dual front discs.
I disagree with Patrick, but then again, he's trying to sell you a part. :)
These things are not universal just based on handlebar diameter and brake line fitting size. They are designed for specific uses and needs.
The GS500 master cylinder is for a single disc set up and doesn't have the correct fluid capacity, and likely also has a different leverage so that the brakes would be overly sensitive with this part. The GS750 uses dual discs up front and the calipers, etc., are likely different. You want the brake feel to be correct and safe when riding.
I'd suggest finding the correct part for that bike and not trying to do it on the cheap with this one.
Good luck,
Trwhuse

The tail light is not the same as mounted on the 06.

The plastics are still up for grabs. Someone buy them.

I can post a picture of the black front fender but not until after the weekend. It is not a glossy black.

I'll happily buy the gauge surround if you still have it.

-And a gas cap if that's in there somewhere. I didn't see it in the list but it can't hurt to ask.

Off to finish the bondo job on my dented up old tank. Then I'm painting it with rubber truck liner paint. Hopefully it'll work or I might be in the market to buy your old tank too!

Hey you wouldn't happen to still have the rear torque arm would you?
I think that's what it was called lol
I need arm that holds the rear brake caliper bracket in place, with the bolts, washers and cotter pins.
I have a caliper and the wierd shaped metal bracket that holds it up.

Whoever owned this GS before the guy I bought it from took that arm off, and the rear caliper, but left that bracket, and didn't put the wheel parts back in order, so they drilled out a grove in the side of it so the nuts on the rotor would pass through it.

I don't have an engine for sale. and the motor had about 40k on it.

I have a complete rear brake assembly that includes your "torque arm" or rear brake caliper mount, and everything. If  you go this way it will insure you have everything you need in good condition too.  All for just $40.

Yes all parts listed are available. I keep the list updated.

Clutch and mirror are still up for grabs

Starter solenoid is still for sale.

Yup, list is up to date.

The seat is pretty comfy. It is designed more so to help lower the rider to get better footing with their feet on the ground, It also provides some additional comfort over the stock seat, even though there is less padding. The actual seat looks really nice with the cover and the piping around the driver area.
