jesus h f%$king christ!!! this was my last ship. this is also the one that had the fire and then flood in the 26mm magazine and i saved the ship by diving inside and shutting everything down. i got the navy bravery medal for that. now they just used her for target practise and sunk her. god damn it

IIRC, National Geographic Channel has a program about that; might want to check the website to see when they'll show it again...

Then again, you might not want to watch it... though several former crew members were allowed to observe, and pay their last respects to the ship as it went to the bottom. You might even spot some of the men you served with, if you decide to watch it.

makes no sense. It could be used for so many other things than dropping it like an anchor to the bottom. If nothing else, make a restaraunt out of it. Something!

Artificial reefs attract fish species to an area and provides a place for coral polyps to anchor and grow.
