Post by: 2wheelin on April 23, 2008, 06:32:10 PM
Hey guys i just got a pair of clubman handlebars for my 06 gs and i need to know what size risers and where to get them. I have my fairings on the bike and without the risers the cultch and brake lever hit the fairing . I have seen pics of another 06 gs with these bars on them :icon_mrgreen: so i know its possible to do. Any help would be greatly apreteated

thanks  randy

it took me a while to find risers too. another member on this site showed me this link

http://pitposse.stores.yahoo.net/noname88.html

they work great, they are the right price and they only took a few days to ship. good luck with em

the junk yard risers are cheaper but they look like crap.

slide your controls in and cut off the excess that way they look sleeker in my oppion all that extra pipe makes it look like they don't fit. and you might want to paint your risers to match your triple tree or paint all of it. might I suggest trim black? :dunno_white:

So that is what my bike will look like but flat black fairings with an R6 solo tail and the risers will be shorter just enough to clear everything. as far as clearing the top triple I will file that sucker down and lower the front as much as I can

i thought about cutting my bars down a little too but i like where my hands sit like that, it would probly look better shorter though. oh well to each his own.

looks great btw though, im glad there are now fairing clearence issues, one of these days i may just throw mine back on for old times sake.

and about that big R, im with frankie. although big F imo would be sick.   :thumb:
