Title: Problem Starting
Post by: ryanmj19 on April 25, 2008, 05:53:13 PM
Hi I have to 2006 and I just got this winter. In the beginning of the spring it started fine but now it takes for ever to start in the mornings and after sitting awhile. Once it starts it stalls a couple seconds later so then I started to choke it and still doesn't start so I figured out and little choke and gas at the same time it will start. But it takes for ever to warm up and just doesn't seem right for a 2006 bike. I have very little money so I would like to do as much troubleshooting as I can before I take it to the local shop. Any suggestions ? Please and thank you

seems to be a common problem with the 2006( search for starting problem). :dunno_white:
putting it in prime is doing the trick for me now, setimes  I will  use a little throttle instead.

Yes.I've heard that same thing.F models need to be on PRIme to start and turn to run when you pull off.Another thing is US models are jetted lean which will cause it to be cold natured.
