Title: Decal Kit
Post by: Toogoofy317 on April 25, 2008, 10:57:32 PM
Was thinking about doing this decal kit to my bike. I know it shows a Gixxer but it says it is universal.

What do you guys think? and what color would go good on my blue '04 baby.

thanks,

Unless there is some problem w/ your current paint/graphics. I wouldn't do it. Kinda silly looking I think  :thumb:

I'd go with silver or white.

I can heartily recommend the selection available at BikeDecals (http://www.bikedecals.co.uk) if you're struggling for ideas.

Yeah,

right now my bike has no decals thanks to the jerk who knocked my bike over and killed my fairing. I got a nice replacement fairing but the decals were screwed so I said what the heck let's do something different!

I was kicking around the thought of the white. But not sure how it will look because the back tail piece on the '04 is white. Guess I could have it painted blue along with the fairing that is scratched. My friend suggested that when I got it just have the back pieces done in blue. I think that would be cool.

I am a huge fan of dragon's esp Asian style.

Thanks for the input!

Ohhh,

The Irony!

Does anyone know the size difference between the gixxer shown and the gs? Would a 20" x 75" be to big if so what size should I ask for?

take it to a painter, ( or do it yourself, and have them paint 1/2" squares ALL OVER IT. so its  gigantic ass checkerboard, me, here in a few months, when i get extra tins ( tank plastics etc), im building the john deere bike. , tank, and plastics JD green, wheels and seat JD yellow and JD decals on the tank. and then race someone, after the win, ask em " how does it feel to get spanked by a john deere"

Stock is sooooooooooo boring. If you're going to do cosmetic changes, make sure it's different  !

Well,

the other thing I was thinking was taking this decal to size 13" x 10" on the right side  the color would be carbon fiber
http://www.immortalgraphix.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1286 (http://www.immortalgraphix.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1286)

Was thinking of this style on the other side
http://shop.cmausa.org/detail.asp?prod_id=265&cat_id=4 (http://shop.cmausa.org/detail.asp?prod_id=265&cat_id=4)               or this one

http://shop.cmausa.org/detail.asp?prod_id=421&cat_id=4

I am in the process of joining their riding club!

so which is better the one at the beginning or this. I'm leaning toward the first.
