would this MOD degrade the integrity of the sub-frame to a point that it would not be safe to use with a pillon?
i do abit of 2up riding around the city with my wife on sundays.
it would be a waste to do this and not be able to use them.
it depends how you do it. I dont recomend drilling into your frame. I didnt read the whole how to but did skim trough it before. just get a bracket welded onto the fram and drill and tap the bracket and bolt the pegs on and go. should be stable enough for 2up.
PS did the clip-ons arrive?
Na i have my wife waiting by the door like a lost puppy for them :thumb:
:2guns: UPS is retarded around here they usually dont drop off till late
oh ok but they should be in today
I am going to actually perform this mod this weekend since I have a spare set of cbr600 rear pegs. I think it will be fine as far as weight goes. We dont really ride 2 up on it so it doesnt matter to us. If the subframe does get tweaked then its just an excuse to get the sv650 tail from a friend of mine with a wrecked bike:)
Im buying a powdercoating kit this weekend so I am about to go nuts with that also.
You would be surprised how strong the sub-frame is. I have tried to straighten my 92's s/f with a 2-ton come-along, ended up cutting and welding it.

i have bits everywehre i'd like to black out, but how will i ride if they're not on the bike :(
