Just put my lunchbox and slip on pipe on today and going into the shop to rejet next week. What kind of power gains should i expect? BTW im new to the gs500 i cant wait to post pics and vids of my bike when its done :)

Not much power, if any. The re jetting makes the power -smoother-, and prevents a lean condition. What you want is usable, smooth power, not top rpm hp numbers.
The difference of a well tuned gs and a poor running gs is measured in shaZam!-eatin-grin width not hp ;)

Yep.Not much hp power gain just a heck of a lot better power band. NO MORE LAG!
The bike will start-up and idle wonderfully, even in cold weather. I think you will enjoy the power gains above 7,500 RPM from the lunchbox and rejet, though.

What im really looking for is a little more power at highway speeds. Right now taking it over 70 on the interstate isnt the most fun you will ever have.
drop to 4th gear and twist hard, then up shift when the tach red lines. :icon_mrgreen:
