Well with rising gas prices and a truck that gets 11 mpg I figured it was time to make an investment. I looked at A LOT of bikes and thought that this one would suit me fine and seems to have gotten rave reviews as a beginner bike. I got a 2007 GS500F. I've been riding it around and am scheduled to take my MSF course soon so I'm very excited. Hopefully this site can help me towards being a good "biker" and answer any of the questions I have.

Thanks for all the compliments. I currently live in Tampa, Fl. So far I've been taking it slow and riding around the neighborhood for the past 2 weeks. I think I will finally venture out onto the main road today (Sunday = slower to no traffic). On a side note: I was thinking about having some of the bike painted to match my truck. Not a lot, but just some accents of yellow here and there for my own personal aesthetics. Do people have bikes painted? If so how expensive are we thinking? Not much paint, just some parts of the fairings.
welcome !!! :thumb:
