Title: where to get valve adjustment stuff?

well i think the east coast valve adjustment set has been lost  :mad: i guess i'll have to go out and buy some. :mad:

anyone know what i need and where to get them?  :mad:

You can change shims with a couple of screwdrivers.  I bought one of those tools from Motion Pro and it didn't work as well for me as the screwdriver did so I gave it to my son.

You can work in mm or inches, I use inches since I've been using inches for 75 years now.   :laugh:  Spec is .001-.003"

I use a feeler gage I picked up at Sears to measure, it had a .0015" minimum thickness blade that broke off and got lost so I use .002 thru .005" blades to measure.  If .002 won't go and I can turn the bucket with my finger tip I mark it .001" and go on to the next.  If tighter I change shim.

I picked up a caliper off ebay for $15 shipped

yeah i emailed and junk no reply :sigh: i guess the East Coast one is stolen/lost in transaction

and dant shim are expensive but they are reusuable right?
