got a problem, just yesterday the bike was running perfectly fine and just out of no where it started running extremely rough. either at idle or giving it gas, or trying to drive it i cant really get anywhere cause its stumbles so bad. itll start right up no problem and the choke works as normal but turn the choke off and it stumbles real bad when giving it gas in any situation.
any and all insite or help would be great
sounds like a clogged jet, or a spark plug wire going bad. will it smooth out at higher rpm's ?
check your plug wires, plugs, spark, then start wondering about the jets being clogged. check the easy stuff first :)
checked plugs havent really checked for spark yet, and no it does not smooth out at higher rpm's. its as soon as i barley the blip the throttle it dies.
Is there something like a large leaf covering the opening to the airfilter? My registration somehow got sucked up there one time. It would idle, but as soon as I touched the throttle, the vacuum would suck the paper such that it would seal the opening...no more air.
no, i pulled the air filter out and it still did the same shaZam!. so i think i am going to check my points to see if they might be worn out and spark also.

No points!Your bike has a computer controlled CDI type ignition.I would say you have varnish in the carb.Could be a bad ground at the battery or ignition coils.
Tap the sides of the carburetor floatbowls GENTLY with the butt of a screwdriver. Then drain the floatbowls.
Refill the floatbowls by switching to Prime, and try starting it again.
How many miles on the bike?
9k miles. computer control???where
