Title: 1994 GS500E $2000 obo (Hot Springs, AR)
Post by: sci_v_ici on May 21, 2008, 10:15:06 AM
I am putting my gs up for sale, I am wanting to get a cruiser not much for the "sportbike" scene, just wanting something to ride to work and school. I will be accepting trade offers if you have a cruiser (can be older, just around the same mileage) or a honda crx, civic, accord.

The gs has around 14xxx on it, I've had it for a year and been riding it off and on. I just had the carbs dipped and cleaned and some cables replaced at the local Suzuki dealer, I do have the receipt for that (was around $300), put a new battery in it from wal-mart, put a "shorty" clutch lever, it has clubman handlebars on it. I have primered the tank, tail plastics, and I am possibly going to primer the front fender, I don't know if I'll have time.

Bad: 1. Rear Wheel bent (not unsafe I've been riding it for a year now)
2. Needs tires (in my preference it does but I do a lot of highway riding probably around town wouldn't need them).

Here's one pic if you need another one just let me know and I'll see when I can get to it.

Don't take offense, but too much man.  2500 can buy a really nice upgraded gsE model.

Look at this sweet bike for $1500. Your bike should probably be around $200-300 less. Otherwise, you'll probably sit on it for a while. http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=41664.0 (http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=41664.0)

Has it been wrecked? Does it run ok? How did the rear wheel get bent? I'm interested, but I wouldn't pay 2k. Just want to know a little bit more about the bike.

Duuude ... that bend in the wheel ... I can see it in the pic ... and its horrible if you can see it in that bad a pic, freaking dangerous ... why ... you know how fast the tire will deflate if the bead gets unseated ... and you know when the bead will get unseated ... yea hard righthand corner and the freaking thing will come loose and go flat before you get out of the corner ...
And the wheel gets its strength by virtue of being an arch like structure ...
Now where is your dash ?
Cool.

Not looking like much of a deal anymore. Now that you say that Buddha you can totally see the dent in the wheel. That's horrible. Not to mention the dash is gone and the clubman's are installed upside down.

He he ... there was one clown trying to sell sheite like this (OK it had a dash, no dent in the wheel and was actually much like the stock red in 93 ... OK it was in good shape) for $2500 and get this, it had no title. This in a state known for being impossible to get a title ... and you get stopped buddy, you're going to jail.
Cool.

I'll give you 800 bucks...then all I'd need to do is find a dash and wheel. And flip those hands around.
