Title: GS500F Exhaust
Post by: zuki68 on May 22, 2008, 04:52:40 AM
Hey everyone, I am new to the forum. I just purchased a 2007 GS500F. I was looking at replacing the exhaust with a complete kit from Jardine. However, after reading this forum (and listening to some sound clips) I have decide to go with the R6 slip-on exhaust. I was wondering which aftermarket R6 should I go with (I've seen plenty on Ebay) and what type of bracket will I need to mount the exhaust? I will rejet both carbs of course. Thanks for any advice! Next mod will be a seat cowl. Anybody making one?

You will need to custom make a pipe and cut your old exhaust off. Its not a direct bolt on  :thumb:

No one is currently producing a rear cowl.

Any R6 slip-on will 'work', since you'll be custom mounting it anyway.

Nice job reading the replies before repeating the question. :nono:

Look at the wiki that's listed in the sticky on the first page of this here forum.

since you asked again I wil answer all qustions in ine shot.
Any r6 pipe will work or any bike slip on for that matter does doesnt mean it will look good on the GS bigger bike have bigger pipes and look funky on the little ol GS as far as the seat cowl goes your not going to find one unless you make your own or Mod another tail from a SS and make a solo tail.
