Title: are all gs forks the same?
Post by: java110 on May 23, 2008, 01:52:39 PM
hey, i got my hands on an 05 500f that some kid smacked a car with. the forks are bent and the tripples are broken/ bent... i snagged a set of forks on ebay for $19.99!

every post i see says that all the forks are the same at 37mm (i think)... but i also noticed someone wanted a set or 2004 plus forks...

my question is: is there any difference in the forks at all, and would it be possible to use the 1990 upper tubes with my 2005 lowers in case the ebay junk is trashed?

Correct 37mm. All of the external dimensions are the same. I do not know of any internal changes except than stiffer springs were added, maybe 04.
