heres the unit http://www.koups.com/sales/suzuki/images/1999_models/LTF500F-Red.jpg
heres teh problem:
a riding frined of mine owns this thing, and when cold, it starts and runs great, but after about 5 minutes power goes to hell and its backfiring like a wild west shootout. and i mean hardly any gumption at all. ie wont hardly move. let it cool off and its fine again. im thinking the coil maybe going out. any ideas? im going to try to help him wiht this thing. but dont want to waste his or my time, if its something severe. SO in your opinions, do the symptoms i described, does that fit the idea of the coils going out? or?.... opinions? many thanks ahead of time
anyone?
maybe give us some more info:
size of engine?
4-stroke?
carbureted?
etc.

in the link i posted but ehh its a 400cc. most are ( and this one is) carbed. and up until recently was running great :dunno_white:
Did I miss it? The only link I saw was a .jpg? :dunno_white:
ahhh yeah i saw that. but anyhoo i figured it out. not the coil, but did this on prime. runs fine after switched over. runs fine until lights are turned on. so it pretty much says replace battery. cause even with lights on it runs fine with a jumper box attached to it :thumb:
save your money and put it into the gs or even better a new gs :)
Oh yea look at that freaking thing ... looks like it just snorted a GS ... just the bloody tires alone weigh 600 lbs.
Cool.
