I have a complete 06 parts bike that I'm trying to sell.  I know you don't need the whole thing, but if I can't sell whole, I'll drop you a message.  I'm in Atlanta if you know anyone who's interested.

Just curious... why are there so many threads where people with newer bikes have blown motors? Does the GS500 engine fail prematurely, or is there some specific maintenance step that people are neglecting?

I'm planning on buying a 06 GS500F very soon and don't want to have any surprises...

Usually something to do with running too low on oil. As long as you check your oil regularly you'll be fine.

I have a bottom end, minus crank, head and pistons+rods,  if that helps any.

IMO, suzuki needs to ditch the dipstick crap and put a sight glass on this bike like their competitors have.
