Title: How to instal Tank Petcock? With Before And After Pics Of Tank*

i got a bargion off a 2003 gs tank of ebay to replace my dented one , its like new , and i got it for 40 pounds., bargin , however it doesnt have the tank petcock , what would i have to do to swop the one of my dented one, to my nice , shiny new one ?

The tank petcock is held on by two screws (Phillips head, if I recall correctly). Should be a simple matter of unscrewing the petcock and moving it over. If the gasket is damaged, you may need a new one.

I have found it cheaper to make one out of gasket material.It may be different over there.I can get an 8 inch square sheet of gasket grade viton(I think that's what it is) for $2 and I have enough left over to make other small gaskets also.

I have some instant gasket , and its like a paste and sets like a seal , we used it on the head of my Brothers Mz 150 , as the gasket was completly gone , and there wasnt anymore problems

I have no idea why i thought it was going to be hard , it was that easy!, and the gasket was like new , so i put it on , and it held the petrol , ahh looks soo much better , i think im going to keep a eye out for some K3 tail plastics  :thumb:

Best 40 pounds ever spent , its mint! like new , and there was a tank on ebay that looked like it had been used a football for a hour for 65. i had to buy it , makes it look so much more defined , and i lile the grey stripes
