Can u rephase that?

When u rev it the revs go up..... but slowly come down , sound like a Lean mixture , a little background on the bike?

Year , Mod's, etc , like have u got a new exhaust on it or anything ,?

its a stock 92 gs500 no mods. it will idle fine but when shift through the gears it takes a while for the needle to go back to the right rpms. i have to hit the brakes alot to not hit anyone. it will just keep going if dont hit the brakes....

Sounds like you are describing a "hanging idle". This is a common issue.

To avoid this problem, you need to set the idle to 1200 rpm when the bike is fully warmed (i.e. after riding for 10 minutes or so). Next time you experience this problem, pull over and turn the idle screw until you get 1200 rpm. Hopefully this will help!
