Hey guys,
Anyone have some examples of pictures of teeth on sprockets that need to be changed? I searched a few different things but I couldn't find a picture. I think there should be a post with pictures of bikes with examples of stuff that needs to be replaced. For example, someone who doesn't know what exactly they should be looking at would be happy to check out the post. It can have other pictures as well, like when a tire needs to be changed, and brake fluid etc..
Also I think we should also have a post where people just post up cool pictures of any kind of work/custom done to their bike, with links maybe to tutorials that have been made, so new people to the board can browse and drool. :) As soon as my led tail light retrofit is done, ill be sure to post.. Thanks and sorry for the change in topics..
Haven't been here?

I think you just need to buy a manual. It will tell you everything in there.

Take a look at this thread:

The front sprocket has serious wear and the chain is in desperate need of replacement.
I can tell when they are shaped like shark teeth they look pretty bad, but what about this one?

Ps. I found the GS500 faqs..which takes care of a place to see how people did their custom work. Thanks guys
That sprocket looks nearly new.

Agreed. The sides of the teeth are smooth, and the tops have a nice flat.

And why is your bike in a gas station convenience store?!
So as soon as I am missing the flat on top is when I should be replacing them?
And.. I was going to the track with some friends but didnt want to leave the bike in the neighboorhood.. So I parked in the gas station.
Here is what google has on worn sprockets:
