Hey guys I just finished my first long trip on the gs...
420 miles in two days. I drove from springfield MO to Kansas City and back to visit a friend and try out the gs on the highway. To be honest, the occassional 35 mph gusts of wind were a bit scary on the gs. I got thrown around quite a bit, and my back is sore from trying to use the gs's windshield as protection. Nevertheless, it was an awesome learning experience.
Do you'll do much highway driving with these 400 lb bikes?
congrats on your first gs-trip !
the interstate SUCKS on a gs. i'd rather play on state roads forever than 30 minutes on the i-states.
no, i don't do much inter-state riding on mine, and try to stay off hi-ways for that matter. country roads love me back on the gs though ;)
Kelly, I use my GS as a commuter every day it's not raining. I drive close to 200 miles a day on mine and it's mostly interstate. I really enjoy riding on the interstate, but I need a windshield because of the wind, and need to mod my seat to make it a little more comfy for the trip.
U Live 100 miles from work , Lewis?
That is insane .. I live a 15 minute walk , or a 3 minute ride
Damn! My round trip to work is only around 45 miles. Interstate on the way there, when I'm in a hurry. And back roads home, when I can take my time. It's gonna be great to log some miles this summer, I can't wait.
Id guess on the Gs , would take 2 minutes.. lol just the dna tops out at 60-65 ish lol
Its a very short journey
It's 40 minutes from my house to the Blue Ridge Parkway by interstate.I've never had any problems.I run into strong winds in the mountains.I get blown around a little but it rarely becomes scary.
