I have what is probably a stupid question. I am interested in the ZeroG sport touring windscreen and I was wondering if the screen impedes the road view at all. It looks low enough, and I sit high enough, that it wouldn't even come close to being in the way. I just don't want to shell out $90 and find out I have to look through the screen when I ride.
Like I said before, I am sure I am just being paraniod, but I really like the black screen and I don't want it to obstruct my view.
Thanks
no it does not impede the view. it is louder though. works for me.
If you go with the Zero Gravity, make sure you check out zgoutlet.com (http://zgoutlet.com). Look for their 'factory seconds'.
They sell Zero Gravity screens that were rejected for various reasons, like an air bubble in the plastic, tiny scratches, etc. They claim that any defect will be so minor that you would never notice it unless you knew it was there. I bought a 'factory second' sport touring screen for my SV650S from them, and you couldn't see the defect AT ALL (there was a small chip around one of the mounting holes). Saved a bunch of money vs a 'perfect' one. I don't remember what the price was, but it was somewhere close to half-off.
If memory serves, they don't list the price of the 'factory seconds' on the site. You look up the model number of the screen you need based on the type of bike and shoot them an email telling them what you want. They will then email you the price of the screen.
Check them out...it might save you a good bit of money.
