Stopped by my old Western Auto today to pick up a few things and they had a KTM 990 Super Duke sitting in the back. Solid black. It looked way cool. But I have never heard of them before. I have zilch for experience with a KTM. They also had a KTM 990 Adventure. Way too tall for me, but pretty cool looking as well. What are your thoughts?

I have sold 6 of them so far this year
How are they as far as reliability?
One of the bike mags (Motorcyclist maybe?) named the 990 'duke its 2007 motorcycle of the year. I think they're awesome, but way too expensive IMO.
They're german, whadda ya want? I wouldn't mind an RC8, though.
So far none have been back for anything other than service.... One thing I do know about KTM is not only are their bikes more than most brands but their parts ALL PARTS are about double the cost of other brands.. example.. Brake pads for a CRF250 = $28.99 KTM200 = $44.99 ???
They are a bit expensive to both buy and own... but man that white 690 looks sweet :icon_mrgreen:
Maybe when I find a sugar momma that my wife likes, then I'll get one..... :icon_mrgreen:
always liked those, but never actually seen one......
The KTM RC8 is the schnizz

LMAO !!! hey, when you figure out how to swing that, clue-stick me in !
they're way sexy, lots of grunt and you actually have clearance for eh, uhm, extra vehicular activites ;)
i'd love to have a drz or whatever to play on. it's not like i go fast anyway :D
I saw a Super Duke in the wild a couple weeks ago. I was staring some 8) I was surprised, someone in this town has some taste, unlike all the sheeple on their race replicas (no offense to anyone with an rr)
I'd buy a duc over a duke any day. The ktm crap is so expensive to maintain, buy, and every aspect of money that comes with it. Also from everyone I talk to locally, if you fart on them wrong they break down.
