I have a 90 gs500e and it needs new carbs will gs500f carbs work? thanks John
your 90's carbs are 2 circuit, teh f carbs are 3. otehr than that, not sure. im willing to hazard a guess and say yes, butagain not sure
since I'm not certain about the intake boots, get them too if you do manage a set of the later F model carbs. They may / may not be a different ID.
yes, they'll work. there's a good deal different though.
where did you find a pair ?
The F carbs I believe are 34mm and the E carbs are 33mm.The F's are 3 cuircut and the E's are 2.Other than that they will work. The intake boots should be the same.
Isn't a duel cable throttle required too?

No.The second cable get's left off.It would be safer to have both,if the carbs ever get stuck or sticky. You'll need the GSF throttle tube and control plus cables for the conversion.I maintain my bike pretty well so I have never felt the need for the dual cable set up.
I believe the 34's of the F will slot into the manifolds of the 33. I tried some on and they fit.
Cool.
Buddha.
"control plus cables for the conversion" what is the control plus cables thanks John

The plastic handle bar controls where the throttle tube and a cables run to.The E model on has provisions for 1 cable.
