Title: Changing tires, need some info on 2006 GS500f
Post by: Unknown on June 11, 2008, 09:32:20 PM
Hey everyone,
New rider, new member, and first post!!

Anyways, I've been lurking around the boards for a week or so now looking for some answers that I just cant seem to find. I bought the Pirelli Sport Demons 3 weeks ago and just got my tire balancer in on monday so I'm ready to change out the Battlax's. I bought a used 2006 GS500F and got an awesome deal on it (perhaps I'll speak of that later). The original owner couldnt find the manual so I'm stuck working on it myself (with the help of my Uncle, who is a professional). He WILL NOT even touch the bike without the FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL and curses the names of Haynes and Clymers.

I need to know the torque specifications for the front and rear axle nuts and pinch bolts and everything else that could possibly be useful..

I dont understand why its so hard to find these values/parts or even a pdf manual for this bike...It took me two weeks to find a clutch level after I dropped it (gravity pisses me off)
and its even harder finding the factory shop manual!!

Anyways, I need the information like 2 days ago (yes i've searched) and cant wait for ordering a manual online, plus any possible link to a pdf has been removed by an admin -- any help is appreciated!! <<-- I love this bike!!

I put all of the torque specs on the wiki yesterday:
http://cgi.stanford.edu/~sanjayd/gs500/Main/TorqueSettings

The values were copied from the Suzuki shop manual and I double-checked all the values. That being said, I assume no responsibility if there is a typo. :(
