Well I've been in my new apt for 3weeks now and found my GS laying on its side this morning. I had the steering locked which is why I think it was knocked over and not moved. Parking is tight until they start towing on the first of sep so I think some dumbass was going to move the bike and just park in there. I hope that they were on it when it fell and have a huge f%$king concussion or broke something. There was no damage to the bike except more scratches on the muffler and case. Alright well Im going to make a circuit to honk the horn if it gets knocked over again and If I ever find out who did it, they aren't walking back to their apartment.
too bad you can't make a circuit to send a moderate electric shock through the jerk when he grabs the handlebars :x
People who don't respect other peoples property deserve a few hundred volts if you asked me :x
A few hundred....how about a few hundred thousand....
You could always get an alarm equipped with a pager Jeff.
1.21 Gigawatts!!!! :thumb:
Well if I did that then I would have a murder charge on my hand.
1.21 gigawatts~ 1,210,000,000 watts. your average light bulb is 100watts, it takes 6,000 watts to turn the starter on a car. It would be fun though.
if you were doing 88 mph when the system shocked you at 1.21 GWatts, maybe you would be able to time travel?... is anybody getting the movie reference?!

lack of personal responsibility-my biggest pet peeve. You've got to find out who it was and bust their knees.
Sucks.
Yeah they better hope I dont find out who it was. And hopefully the apt complex records all the nice cameras they have watching the parking lot and not just have them for show.
If they have camera's file a police report for vandalism, doubt the rental company will give up tapes just for you to find out who did it.
If I file a police report, will it affect my insurance?
As long as you dont do a claim it shouldnt affect it.
That bites man!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr! :x
Yep just dont call the insurance for a claim and they wont know a thing.
The insurance companies find out ... or in my case which is different they did ... when i dropped my bike almost a year ago ... i was in a heighborhood and someone called the police because i went down with the bike, no other vehicles were invovled they still filed a report ... i never claimed it wit the insurance company i just had bent bars and a few scratches ... when i went to renew my insurance last month that accident shows up on my insurance ... even though i didn't report it ... the police did ... :x
sucks to hear about your bike ... people should just leave things good enough alone

Not to mention you'll fry your gs500 as well. There is not much out there that can insulate 1.21 Gig Watts.

The difference is you were in a accident which the police should be called at and have to file a report on.
Vandalism wont show up on your driving record but the accident will.

You built a time machine out of a Delorian?
And My Favorite - And Marty, don't use the amplifier. There's a slight chance of overload.
Ah, yea right Doc.
Pablo's dead-on...lack of personal responsibility. I see it all day long, over and over. I hope this does not start another long, tedious thread, but here goes: This personal-responsibility thing is learned behavior. It starts in the home, and is learned (or not) from parents...and IMHO one of the biggest causes of lack of personal responsibility is our government, which wants to do all things and solve all problems for all people.
I am appalled at how amazingly irresponsible so many people are today...not thinking ahead by even 5 minutes, and then, by virtue of their own lack of forethought and irresponsibility, create an "emergency" that they want someone else to solve.
Well, knocking over someone else's hard-earned property and leaving the scene is just another example.
Like I said in a previous post (with tongue half in cheek)..parenting ought to be by license only!!
(stepping down off my soap-box now).
Good luck rehabbing the bike. :x :bs:
That sucks. Things just can't get any respect! (adjust neck tie)
I have had my share of bad experiences with people thinking they can do what ever they want with your stuff and its not a good feeling. I hope you do find out who did it, and give them an extra whack on the knee cap for me.
God dam mother f***ers did it again.

That is truly f'ed up, I don't see why some people feel the need to damage other peoples property. :x How would they like it if someone planted a foot into there vehicle and they had to pay for it to get fixed? I know I didn't, it gets rather expensive to repair things especially when you don't claim it on the insurance.
Ill go get the damn forklift from work. Drive it 60miles flip their car on its side and leave it. :x
Sorry to hear that Jeff. Time to stage a camera, get photographic proof, and prosecute.
In response to dmp, I have a paper on the wall at work, printed off the company printer, that states 'Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance, your crisis is not my emergency'.
:x
was that retribution for turning them in or something? That is plain shitty. Sorry for you man...get out the keychain and start pinstriping cars at random.
Pablo, I did nothing the first time it happend. I just picked up my bike and went to work. Now I told the leasing office that my bike has been vandalized 2 times in a month and that I have it under one of their cameras in the parking lot, and next time I am calling the cops and reporting it. This is just rediculous.
