Title: WTB: Nuts and bolts.
Post by: Jackstand Johnny on June 15, 2008, 10:32:00 AM
Hi there! I just took my first bike home last night(89 GS500E) and she needs a few odds and ends to tighten her up a little bit. The ones I need are:

1. All the hardware to attach the rear faring(the piece that displays the GS500E stickers)
2. The left rear fender bolt that sits inside the tail piece

I think that might be it. In all actuality I could go to fastenal for the rear fender bolt, but there are no bolts to use as reference for the fairing so I'd rather just get them off of another GS.

Thanks a bunch for reading this PM me if you have anything!

I put my side covers on with zip ties. Better for it, especially if you drop the bike, zip ties break and save the plastic.
Cool.

THats a valid point, I just like knowing the bike has everything it's supposed to have and nothing jimmy rigged. Anybody know the thread patterns for any of the bolts I mentioned up top?
