Ive put bar end mirrors on my bike, and therefore I have the stock screw in areas for stock mirrors. Im looking to mount a Valentine1 Radar Detector on the bike - right there is a perfect spot! Has anyone made some sort of cross bar/plate that mounts to the mirror mounting points and goes across between the two?
i haven't but if u do make a bracket i'd love to see pictures! :thumb:

Nope, thats not what he is talking about.
He is talking about where the stock mirrors screw in.
Ram Mounts used to have a ball that would screw into the mirror mount, but it isn't listed anymore. I think you'll have to fabricate something yourself for this. I've thought about just cutting the mirror off the stem and using that if I go to bar end mirrors.

Ill prob just chop the mirros down and welt a piece of flatstock on top then paint it or something.
why not just use a strongass magnet with some velcro on it and on the radar detector? I say this because if you weld a piece across you will never be able to adjust the angle of the handles.
Because magnets and velcro is very..... non white person engineering.
And you must not understand what Im trying to do - the mount will thread in to both mirror mounts - nothing will be welded to the bike.
no need to weld a bar up or anything
just use one of them for the detector, and the other for a giant pink sex toy ?
