Title: Bikes in 1st gear, clutch engages, still moves forward with throttle...
Post by: Jackstand Johnny on June 16, 2008, 03:46:55 PM
Is this a matter of adjusting the clutch cable or is it designed to do this to prevent stalling? Thanks in advance!

Sounds to me like u need to adjust the clutch, u can from the controls , or down the bottom on the left side of the engine ,

I had a Simular Problem , my Gs came with Renthal Bars , but i went for clip ons , and it would happen , just a case of Adjusting the cable  :thumb:

You can try adjusting the cable but it only happens when the bike is cold, as soon as you ride the bike you won't have that problem.  You also may find that if you start to ride it regularly the problem will go away.  If you adjust the clutch cable to loose, it could start to slip at speed and  increase wear.

Ah cool, thanks alot!. By the way, I went ahead and put those stock mirrors on, clamped down the exhaust, put on a new in line fuel filter, and cut down the rear fender. I used the reflector off the fender for the right side since it was missing.
