Title: The bike gods smiled on me
Post by: ohgood on June 23, 2008, 03:33:53 PM
and my clutch cable snapped sunday morning. :)

In the parking lot, during the pre-ride check.

Before the ride

and the rain

and the wind

and the thunder

and the lightning

and the 15 miles of slogging down country roads hoping someone would stop (without having run over me first!)

so  I think they show me favor,

by letting the cable snap BEFOR the ride.

Thank you bike gods, everywhere !

Good to hear of your "fortune".

Indeed this is a good universe to live in.

All the others I've lived in previously cannot compare.  :cookoo:

LOL !

Mines' been pretty good to me lately. After he telling me her clutch cable was tired, I figured I'd give her a rest till the move is over. Then I'll spend some quality time with her, you know, lots of talking, light touching, quality lubricants... oh god man, this is horrible ! I"m gonna BEAT THAT NEW CABLE IN !

Ya, that'll teach her ;)

Did you have a spare cable on hand?

If not, I hope the bike gods continue smiling and do not decide the new cable will take 2 weeks to arrive :(  :icon_mrgreen:

Either way, much better than being caught on the road!!!
