Kalee's a big weather photography nut. these aren't too great, but they're pretty cool. she's had some really slick ones come up but you have to have a LOT of time to catch good lightening pics and it started raining on our equipment before we got a "good" one.

btw, the D70 is a great shooter, just looking through the EXIF and looking - she shot manually ! way cool.

I'll point out that that shot is a single exposure...not this multi-shot compiled crap people put together.

I was gonna say, there must be a lot of luck involved. There's no way I would have the patience to do that, I definitely enjoy looking at the finished product though.
it's a tremendous amount of luck. Most of the lighting happens in the 1~2 second intervals between exposures...
