Title: Installed some new stuff today!
Post by: highnoonhunter on June 24, 2008, 08:43:57 PM
I installed my SW Motech handlebar risers and my new zero gravity sport/touring windshield today.

The risers are great! I went for a testride and I really like the more upright seating position. Although, I did have to re-route my clutch cable, choke cable, and left hand switch wires from the front exit of my left fork, so it would come out between the left fork and the tank. They were too short otherwise. I also had to remove my front brake line from the retainer so it would be long enough.

The taller windscreen seemed OK too. Honestly, I couldn't tell a great difference from the stock screen........ BUT......... I was also in a more upright position. It seems I had less wind on my head/face/neck, but about the same, maybe less on my chest. But it would most likely be a more noticable difference without the handlebar risers. But I'll know more the first time I ride in the rain.
