Title: Service Manaual?
Post by: bassmechanicsz on June 25, 2008, 06:27:36 PM
Hey i just bought a 2004 gs500f and was looking online to try to find a service manual so that i can start learning about the bike and taking it apart myself.  This is my first bike so i really know nothing about bikes.  Does any know where i can either download a .pdf version of the manual or buy a copy i looked on amazon and they don't have it for the 2002 and newer models.

You could buy direct from Haynes....
CLICK HERE (http://www.haynes.com/products/searchType/vehicleApplicationSearch2/searchEnd/yes/sfID1//sfID2//sfID3//year/2006/make/Suzuki/model/GS500/x/18/y/7/productID/409)

That was a search for the 2006 GS. Then again the book has been updated to cover ALL the models since 1989.

Good luck!

You could always go to mama suzi  http://www.oneidasuzuki.com/store/parts-accessories/service-manual-sv650-s-sv1000-s-1999-2006.html
says 2005-07 don't know why 04 would be different.

I found a factory manual online at one point in PDF form... It was a 70 meg download from a slow server, but it is the real thing, and is pretty handy.... I also have the Clymer manual which is a little more clear and easier to follow.. Plus I can take it outside and get grease all over it, I can't do that very easily with my laptop...
