Title: Clutch cable preferences ?
Post by: ohgood on June 26, 2008, 07:37:46 AM
I was going to order a new clutch cable (mine snapped, pre-ride thankfully!) but wondered if there was a super duper slippery version besides the OEM ?

ANyone have a preferential cable that is way slippery ?

Hi there,
When mine got rough I replaced it with a stock Suzuki part and that made a huge difference.
Be sure to lube it as well with an injection cable luber and some good lubricant. I like Tri-flon for cable lubing.
Cheers.

The early GSXR cables have a nice gentle curve coming out of the clutch perch. They should last longer than the GS.The GS cable makes a fairly sharp 90 degree bend coming out of the clutch perch. The GSXR cable works well with clip ons and aftermarket handle bars.Early to mid 90's GSXR 600 clutch cable.
