Title: Anyone tried these pants??

Fieldsheer street pants.

The more I think about riding and hearing people go down for dumb reasons, the more I really need to get some armored pants.  I've got nice boots, helmet, jackets, and gloves, but no pants.  The main question is that I see things like the icon jeans with just leather reinforced knees, and once in a while double stitch hip components and hitena reinforced areas, but they're still basically jeans.  I want something that if I go down, I truly have some protection while being able to move around and not look like spiderman if I walk into a store.  I don't want some butt hugging leathers, but desire the impact protection in the hips and knees with CE rated foam or otherwise.  I'm also a huge cheapskate so if I can buy it somewhere cheap, I will or get last years styles or anything I can do to save a buck.  Whadday'all think????  (Whoooo Wee, get my redneck on there)

They look similar in construction to my Fieldsheer Four Season pants.  Comfortable.

I have not crash-tested them.  They look like good protection (that and $1 will get you a cup of coffee in some places).  Not as good as leathers, but more practical for hot weather and a lot cheaper.

Yeah, thats what I'm trying to figure out.  Its definitely gonna be cheaper to get good stuff than the hospital bill that follows a crash with cheap junk.  I don't want to skimp too much, just looking for a justifiable cost per feature pair of riding pants like these.  Thanks for the input.
