Title: NEW BIKE- sell gs?

I bought a 99 R1 yesterday.  wow. i have ridden 1000's but dang, they are fast. 
so now i cant decide on wether to sell the gs in one piece or part it out..... don't know
if anyone would want my bike or the pieces lol

she doesn't cost much to keep, and so long as you paid cash for the r1, why sell her ? (shrug)

i mean, sure, if you financed the r1, sell the gs and pay down that interest!

Naw, don't sell it, you'll have something to ride when the R1 is down for maintenance, and the GS will be a good and faithful backup steed.   I'll bet it gets ridden quite a bit just for nostalgia, or saving a little extra gas, etc.

I agree, Keep the two.

I keep my fun weekend/nice weather bike for just that. My GS is my daily commuter/bad weather/tatting about town bike. Works for me.

i really don't want to sell the gs, i love that bike.  but it doesn't even run right now, needs some work.  so i don't know.  and i need money for an cage, sprockets, chain, and other parts for the r1.  if the gs was running i wouldn't even think of selling it...ill see what happens, ill take it to a shop and see what it would cost to get it going again.  thanks
