Hello All,
I have been watching the site for a while but just know joined. I have been riding since Jan. I bought a 92 GS 500e (yes the purple one lol). I was wondering will 1999 model rotors fit on my 92? I would love some help!
You can check the part numbers on a site like bikebandit.com (http://bikebandit.com) or houseofmotorcycles.com (http://houseofmotorcycles.com) and see the different part numbers.

If you need the fronts, maybe someone else can tell if these front parts are interchangeable.
Penn,
Thanks for your help and input, yea the rears seem to be the same I will have to see if the fronts will work or if i need another. I am currently bidding on both on ebay.
Does anyone know if the Front rotor on a 99 gs is interchangealbe with the front rotor on a 92?

Yes they will interchange.Calipers changed in 96,rotors stayed the same. The reason for the different part numbers is the steel painted carrier changed colors. Some years were gold while some were silver. Our rotors are a 2 piece floating design. You have the rotor being held to a carrier through a floating pin. This helps to prevent warping with heat build up,IIRC.
