The guys that work behind were I work do lawn maintenance and are in and out all day unloading clippings and such. Today as one was backing out he accidentally ran over the hindquarters of a dog that took up napping under the truck to escape the sun. I heard the yelping and ran to see what was going on. I asked if he wanted me to call the Humane Society, he said he'd take care of it. I went back in to resume my work and hear not one, not two, but three *thwack* sounds and peek my head out to see him holding a bloody machete and the dog decapitated. He had his back to me at this point and I piled drove his ass into the concrete face of the building hard enough it split his face wide open. He was unconscious at this point. I called the police who summoned an ambulance (I didn't give a f%$k enough to mention he was bleeding heavily and unconscious, I just mentioned that he had decapitated a dog)
I've spoken with the DA who said there's no reason for me to worry about prosecution. The guy is facing actual time because he's going to be charged with felony animal abuse and he has a record. If I had it to do over again I would probably f%$king cut his head off with the machete.
I'm still really shaken up over this. This kind of shaZam! disturbs the hell out of me. People by nature are less than innocent, so I can deal with violence amongst people. We are also aware of what a f%&ked up world this is coming to be. Animals are innocent and I can't even imagine the amount of pain that dog felt in it's last moments.
tbh if i had to put a dog down immediately, id rather use a firearm. BUT my emoptions would have doen the same thing man, they sure as hell would have
We have a Humane Society center less than .5 mile down the road that pretty much does nothing all day and has a full time on-staff vet.
Crazy story. Its amazing the things people will do. I'd be pretty pissed off too. Not sure I'd smash his face in, but that's just my personality. I bet it felt real good :thumb:
That guy wouldnt have been any better off if it was me that had caught him doing that
You did good!
I love animals, i have 5 cats myself , and i had dogs in the past , but i had to give her up to my dad , If i had seen that i would of done the exact thing , u did good Terry , a dog is a living creature and doesnt deserve that , There was a Article in the Paper about a year ago, someone had hung a dog by its leash on a tree and kicked him to death , he went to prison for a long time
I commend you Terry  That guy deserved no less than a mean ass kicking. Hes lucky your restrained yourself enough that all he got was a busted skull. I hope that they put him in jail for this, seems that too many people get away w/ a slap on the wrist though.
Last I heard it took the hospital 70 staples and almost 3 hours to put everything back right. I hope that shaZam! gets infected.
i would have done that and then put my boot in his face a few times afterwards.
im not a big animal rights person by any means, but thats just f%&ked up.
I love animals, but I'm not a big activist nut. I understand having to put the dog down, the method is what pissed me off beyond words.
good job terry! :thumb: just because he got run over doesn't exactly mean he needed put down. now, if the guts are hangin out etc, that i can understand, by all means put him down. but as yama said, a firearm would have worked better. it would have been more humane that way. it sickens me when people mistreat their pets. it ranks up there with crimes against children.
Nothing was exposed on the dog when he ran it over.
Children are the only innocent people, so yeah I would lump it into the same category. Crimes against the truly innocent f%$king sicken me.
I'm pretty much a non-violence kind of guy, but I'm with you on this one. As someone whose dog is a member of the family, I can't stand to see stuff like this. Thanks for standing up for decent human conduct.
What will happen when this guy is out on bail and on the mend? Will he come after you? Any repercussions from his co-workers? Watch your back -- these kind of "people" are scary.
His 'co-workers' are all illegal and far from willing to draw any attention to themselves.
I spoke with the DA earlier and he is being held without bail as this is his 3rd violent felony arrest. He probably won't actually get any real time, but I can hope he gets the shaZam! kicked out of him nightly while he's being held. He can come after me, it would just give me a reason to completely remove him from the genetic pool.
I let my dog sleep on my bed last night, he NEVER gets to sleep on my bed. I think he thought he was going to have to go to the vet today.
f%$king prick...terry if you did not kick his ass i would have. f%$k, bastard, shaZam!, ass f%$k iam pissed

bing o!
I'm all for humane treatment of animals, and not for sorry low life humans.
A firearm (with someone of experience in control of it!) is humane, and swift. I'm afraid nowadays people would call it something else like murder, but IMHO it's proper.
The jerk that used a machete to harm the animal deserves some time, and some abuse. Had there been a child playing there, would he have done the same ?
Sheesh, people are dumb, kudos to you for dishing a little medicine to him. Hope you feel good for it, you really should :)
Something tells me you're in for a world of legal shaZam! man. I would delete this post (which is basically a confession to assault & battery) and start selling your assets to friends, cheap.
The guy was coming at you after you confronted him over the dog, right? You were afraid for your life and were acting in self-defense, right?
Assault and Battery entails a minute amount of premeditation or threatening. Neither were present. It is generally reasonable to assume that there is the potential for threat to one's life when a person wielding a bloody machete is observed in plain view in an urban setting.........always.
More on topic. His attorney called me today. We met and hashed out/ had signed and notarized an agreement for myself to withdraw testimony under agreement of no attempt at prosecution or civil claim. Whatever happens from here isn't my problem.

Beautiful. Good for you man, I'm glad to see a person in the right not get stomped on for once.
It's cool with me if he isn't prosecuted, I think the point has been made rather clearly. :icon_rolleyes:
i will swear to god i saw that guy attack terry and he was only defending himself
I agree. No overreaction. People these days have become complacent and afraid of repercussions.
This kind of act is NOT acceptable, and you would have found me in the same place you are.
Good job.
And I agree that the dog should have been put out of his misery quickly and efficiently using a small caliber firearm.
Poor dog.
Good on you though.
