I want the white body ... I'll trade ya tank - coated and powdercoated your color choice for it all. No rust in my tank ... that white I want.
Cool.

Seems the price was very right!  Besides, you got the coveted (by some) '89 clip-ons.  Enjoy! :thumb:

That bike is a classic, I wouldn't mod it externally at all, just clean it up and thrash it.

nice looking bike.

it seems that the exhaust pipes don't hold up very well in old age and most other things on the bike do...why is that?

I prolly could find a V&H or Yosh slip on for ~100. I just sold a nice yosh to someone here.

Hells yeah! I love my 89! I'd say you got a real good deal. I paid $800 for mine with an oil leak. Youve got the same idea I've got with the duals and different tail and what not. Very clean bike.

Heat causes the paint to deteriate from day 1, when its all burned off rust starts to set in. You need to repaint them every few years with high temp paint to keep them looking good.

Supercrappe and V&H used some shitty steel in the headers. Yosh was slightly better, but still worse than suzuki. The suzi ones itself rust if you look at it funny, so you can imagine the rest. You're looking at a yearly paint job with all of them pretty much if you ask me.
Cool.
