Title: whiring virbration noise

i get this odd whiring/viberating noise ONLY while in 6th gear....

any idea's?

Worn 6th gear set. Its unlikely to be a duff chain/sprocket, clutch, primary-gear or bearing if the noise/vibration isnt there when you are in any of the other gears...............how long have you had the bike, have you only recently bought it?

it's got a new chain/sprok set...

it didnt do it 5k miles ago when i got it... (2 montsh ago  :o)

only 20k miles as of a few days ago....

no it's got slack....

and it's ONLY in 6th (that i've heard i tend to ride with earphones alot (i'll ride home today without em)

Yea, you dont need 6th. Just run in 5th. Prolly run faster, accelerate better and dont even use too much more gas. 6th is far too tall.
