All this time I thought my clutch was wearing ,as I constantly had to adjust the clutch adjustment screw
(the one behind the little cover on left side) until it was all the way in. Recently my clutch cable snapped on me (the bastard!)
it came in contact with the sprocket somehow . On closer inspection the culprit turned out to be the clutch release mechanism.
The whole thing gradually wore out it's own seat (circled in red)

That's why the cable lost tension and the mechanism lost leverage to push the clutch rod,
it wasn't held against it's seat and turning with the whole thing. Now the clutch lever has no affect at all until I order new one
PS it's cheaper then replacing clutch plates at least
hmm, Ill have to pull mine off to see if that's my problem.
I should mention that the picture shows a perfectly good mechanism ,I'll try to post my damaged one

I was going to say, that looks perfectly normal covered in half an inch of chain lube slime with a little gravel road mixed in. Which reminds me... It's about time to clean out my drive sprocket cave again.
Mine failed a couple of months back when the little silver thing in the picture that retains the clutch cable broke on one side and allowed the thing to keep stretching out. A new one was really cheap and easy to replace though, so I guess it could have been worse...
UPDATE:
Finally took a pic of the damage:
