The plan for the bike is to ride it the rest of this season with mirror mods.  then over winter kinda go nuts alittle

i do have a full set of ducati monster turn signal on the way

its getting repainted
white for what is now purple and i think a gray frame
jardine exhaust
K&N lunchbox
rejet obviously
maybe new tires def a new front
maybe wider rear wheel we will see how the budget goes

Pandy the Purple Pansy will be along shortly to kick your ass regarding your choice to disfigure that beautiful girly paint scheme.

Nice bike. It is amazing that it has remained so good looking and so stock after all these years. I also have a '94 with that paint scheme, but without the stickers. I think it looks alright. When I first got it I considered repainting it, but I've grown to not mind the purple paint scheme...

ok sooo first ride i took had very little power past 1/3 throttle
it would have problems climing small hills at 30 MPH at 6.5k

If your blind the right jet is about halfway clogged.

o and were does this pair of little O rings go?

The little tiny O-rings on the bottom left of the photo go in the recess in the top of the carbs, near the diaphragm.  They seal the venturi vacuum test channel.

The slightly larger O-rings should be for the emulsion tubes (what the jets screw into).

You didn't strip the decal off the tank?  Anyway, it looks better than purple!  :thumb:  Hope it's running well for you.

...now it's time for a fenderectomy and some short stalk signals!  :icon_mrgreen:

i tryed to sand it off but after about 20 mins on each decal i said screw it and painted over them.

i was to tired by the end of yesterday to cut the rear fender but it will happen this weekend.  and i have ducati turnsignals on the way so ill replace the signals instead of shortening

I was basically referring to some stock short stalks or other aftermarket stuff.  You'll like the fenderectomy.  It cleans up the look quite a bit.  Enjoy the ride--that's the important part anyway! :thumb:  You'll have to keep us updated with pics.

the bike looks nice. the white looks good with the rims. did you prep the tank at all?  Other than sanding?

I'm going to paint mine charcoal gray.

OK so the bike looks like ... white primer. You do know you could have bought a bike of a different color ... yea something like that. However purple is the worst POS you can get, so maybe you're doing a favor to it by decimating the purple. You know, 50% more people hit their target when shooting at something purple.
Cool.

i got a good deal on the bike.  so purple wasn't realy a big deal. i do realy like the bike and im a custom car guy before this so modding if my life. shoot the day i bought it i pulled everything off just to see how it all worked and the day after that i pulled the carbs apart cause i could

tank prep was just sanding and washing clean i will do a way beter job when i paint it for real. this is just a temp fix.  21 year old male in a college town. purple bike doen't get the girls
