People need to stop posting disrespectful comments in the, "For Sale" topics.
FAIR VALUE IS DETERMINED BY THE SELLER AND THE BUYER!!! NOT BY YOU!!!
If you having nothing nice to say then keep your mouth shut. It does not concern you!!!
can you explain a few threads
agreed, it is whats known as thread crapping in some forums. and frowned upon. agreed some here can use tact to explain to the seller that their item is somewhat, or in somecases severely overpriced, but pms work
but as ↑↑↑ said, got any links?
Here is the last one I remember...
http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=39676.0
me giving the guy a heads up about the price to help HIS sale is not bad him comming back and giving me shaZam! is lame. drop the price 1k and it will go like hot cakes. so f%$k that guy I was just trying to help a sale and bumo the item at the same time.
But as he said, if even one person showed interest at paying 3K then why drop the price to 2K so early. 1K is alot of money if one person is willing to pay it then there's bound to be another. It would of course sell like hotcakes. If you dropped the price by a thousand it would be a bargain over the original price. I don't agree with you. If he still hadn't sold it after a couple of months then drop the price.
I thought that this was reguarding this one:

I wasnt trying to degrade this guys 1990 GS. He said he wanted a Quick sale. I suggested that @ $2800 for a 1990 in fair condition is not going to make for a "quick" sale.
I have said before, if you have nothing nice to say dont say it.
In some cases it doesnt sound nice only because you dont want to hear your $2800 GS is only worth $1400 :dunno_white: I dont think that thats doing anything wrong. In some ways its protecting an unknowing buyer from spending way more than they should. Especially when its a newb selling something for an extreeme price.
OK.. I could go on and on,
Nuff said. If someone wants a 1990 GS in fair/poor condition I am going to put my 1990 GS up for sale for $2500
meh i really have not seen much of what you are talking about...and i have been around here for a while. u know we do have something called PM's. having said that it is rare that newbs come here to buy a first timer bike. most likely we are experienced enough to know what is or is not worth the price

Did he ask if his price was too high? Did he say he wanted to sell it fast?
Here is a sticky from SVRider regarding this topic.

No Dumping - You don't like the price, move on!
If the price is too high, it will not sell.
Don't disrespect people and their advertisement.
Keep questions pertinent to the deal.
Do not trash a persons efforts to sell their merchandise.
You want to offer a lower price, do it via PM.
Keep the trash talking out of the thread.

Sometimes its good to let them know - but its also good to be polite and stay with pertinent details. The smart people will get it. The stupid ones wont.
Anyway, GS twin is for your edutainment. Maybe we should allow comment posting and minimal "thread crapping" in the interest of the newbies.
SVrider crap is rather overpriced though, so maybe our thread crapping should increase and we should not blindly follow svrider. After all we predate them on the net ... :thumb: ... those newb's, what do they know.
Cool.

No, that is because most GS riders are broke dicks and cheap a$$'s.
lets all remember that bike pricing can vary depending on your region (some times wildly). here in florida, used bikes are a helluva lot cheaper than when i lived up in kentucky. i am sure this is due the year round riding season & a glut of used bikes.

 ... that is so true ...
There is a good line between frugal and cheap ass ... and Gstwinners are well in the cheap a$$ territory ... and its really not like they are buying good stuff cheap either ... I see people pay premium prices for busted sheite ... heck I have repaired stuff for people that I'd have passed up if it was free ... like bent katana stems, bent lower triples (no way to fix that, so dont freaking buy a bent triple) just cos they found it for $10 ... yea its over priced at 10 bucks.
Good call D. Very true.

If he didnt sell it from Feb to June than something is wrong I just let him know a price drop may b e in order. I can see if the OG post was also in june than no big deal but he posted in Feb and had to bump in june.

can you explain a few threads
I could but, i'm not really interested in focusing on any one incident in particular. I'm not trying to bash a person. And to be fair, my perception of the problem may be a bit skewed because i'm new to this forum and have dug through tons of posts dating back to only god knows when in my short time here. I simply spoke up so that it doesn't happen to others. You and me included :thumb: Because it is extremely disrespectful...

^--- Nothing really needs to be said about it more than that...
Yeow, with that sorta time frame for selling stuff, it may qualify as spamming.

Looks like I will be buying some of that overpriced SV crap... :icon_mrgreen:
They got some high end stuff I've seen. Captured Spacers, many more cool stuff for fitting GSXR stuff etc etc. However the stock GS stuff is just cheaper on fleabay ... and that is really crazy.
However I cant wait for it to get crappy like the GS :thumb:
