Good news for all ye folks with trouble in the starter clutch/rotor zone. Buddha's slide hammer is available for circulation at the cost of shipping. Just pm me if you need it. It is one huge-ass slide hammer with a real heavy weight on it. Got my rotor out in a single stroke
Buddha deserves
you can also rent them from autozone and advance autoparts FYI
Mmmm not with the 14mm thread ... starwalt had to mod something in the Autozone version. I think threads on it. I used an axle bolt off a vulcan.
Cool.
Buddha.
o i didn't know it was a 14mm cool never mind then
Auto zone BS is meant to fit a car ... maybe american car only ... Even their spark plug compression testers dont fit our spark plugs. I had to tap them too.
Cool.
Buddha.
OK. Looks like I have a replacement generator rotor on the way. What ancient ceremonies must be performed in order to attain this divinely empowered tool?
Pm astroaru.
Cool.
Buddha.
The slide hammer is on its way to "Agno".
The sacred hammer arrived today in all of its powdercoated awesomeness. Will be pulling the rotor within the next few days. Thanks again guys.
That's Mr Awesomeness to you ...
The idea is that you hold on to it and send to next guy, and if you sell the bike or leave town or die or somehting ... then you have to have the sliding hammer returned to the Hive before that time.
Cool.
Buddha.
PM send to Agno in request of
Buddha's Sacred Hammer

I didn't even use Autozone quality. I used "semi-trailer-at-the-fair-grounds-tool-sale" quality and bought a 14mm die to cut the threads on it.
I now have a lathe that I could turn it down and thread it better but...that was then.
The Buddha recycled things and came up with a workable solution.
He gets the Green Award for helping save the environment. :icon_mrgreen:
Al Gore will feature him in his next movie.
Michael Moore will be ambushing him soon. :o
Green ... hardly ... htink of the Poor vulcan 750 (I think) that now cannot run cos its missing an axle. Oh wait ... taking a oil belching, gas guzzling eyesore of a vulcan is green ... OK then.
I dunno, I just did some scrap stuff into a tool. Like my "cam chain tensioner adjuster" or the vulcan front fork damper rod holder (Long steel rod with a J jook shape) ... Its all stuff I dont care if it doesn't come back to me.
Cool.
Buddha.
I have a use for this tool, would whomever has it currently please let me know so I can borrow it?
see my other thread to understand why I need this tool.

Agno - alois71 - troxy18 OK who has the sliding hammer ?
If you're done with it, please pass it on to the next requestor, and if not, send it to me, I got rotors to pull and send off to jeremy nash.
Cool.
Buddha.
Guys this is serious. Post back ... you have it, sent it here, lost it, beat some clown to death with it and its now held by CSI's as evidence ...
Whatever ... I need to know, so I can make one and I'd charge people a deposit ... which really is no guarantee, I made one for a savage and with the 50 buck deposit, it still disappeared. I guess a 50 buck deposit on a 75 buck tool is asking for it to get pinched.
Cool.
