So anyway please PM me offers.
So you have a GS500 and are looking to get something bigger well this is your trade! :thumb:
Forgot to add $4100
Bumpage ;)
so, you'd accept a trade ? the only thing is shipping would be a mofo, two bikes between AL and OK :(
We are not that far away I use to work a contract job in huntsville, AL and during that time my family stayed in Tulsa, OK I have driven that trip at least 20 times. Got to where I could make the trip in no time flat ;)
free bump for extremely awesome all around bike! I have SO much fun on these things. Oh the wheelies....
Thanks man.
$4000
Mike...why are you getting rid of the SVee! Please tell me you are getting a SuperDuke R otherwise why give it up!
I have had a few things come up and money is a little tight. I am not hurting to sell it, but it would make finances a little easier. It wouldn't break my heart if come spring she was still sitting in my garage :).

the trade up would be such a bittersweet trade. losing a gs but still getting a sweet ride.
Man, it really sucks this doesn't have a full fairing...I would be all over it. I've been looking for one in black to swap for my 07GSF...yellow I don't think I could handle. Bump for you though!
You say that man (really sucks this doesn't have a full fairing), but it seems like everyone that gets the S rips the farring off and goes naked :dunno_white: IDFU that, but they do.

Changed the cash amount
don't get me wrong, but is that 18 hundred really worth giving up such a beautiful bike?
You are bound and determined to talk me into keeping her, and for that I thank you ;). However I like sport touring and while the SV is good at it the bandit is better. Now don't get me wrong if I only had the SV we wouldn't be talking about this right now. I have the Bandit and the SV and both satisfy the same need. The bandit just doesn't come with a payment. :thumb:
now I see your point. I must have missed the part where you said you had two bikes :thumb:
good luck with the sale then!
If I wasn't that far away from you and didn't have a wife we'd have a deal already
cheers

:icon_lol:
my roommate has this bike and it's awesome. fuel injection is awesome, start it and go. and it's faaaast.
Thanks for the props.

Plucked from a dealers website:
You know what you're looking for in a standard V-twin machine: light and agile handling, along with willing-and-able engine performance. And that's what the Suzuki SV650 delivers - in spades. Recently named as Cycle World magazine's Best Standard Motorcycle and Motorcyclist magazine's Best Bang for the Buck, the Suzuki SV650 offers its own unique styling and performance. Compared to the SV650S, it has a leaner profile, featuring a single round headlight, tubular handlebars and a more upright riding position. And for 2005, it features a new more aerodynamic radiator, black painted frame and swingarm, along with a stylish new color matched headlight cowl for a bold new look.
One ride on the SV650 and you'll be hooked. It combines crisp, lightweight handling with all-day riding comfort. And the thrills really begin when you tap into its exceptional engine performance. Its fuel-injected V-twin powerplant offers crisp throttle response, strong torque and a stunningly wide powerband.
So get on a new 2005 Suzuki SV650 - and enjoy a ride you'll never forget.

and i have a 1997 GS500E and some cash to trade u too
i wish u were closer i'm in South Carolina =( if u ever come this way let me know i'll be sure to buy it from u.
ugg that would be a heck of a trip this time of the year. Hmm meet ya in Memphis or Birmingham?
don't know where either places are at haha i'm guessing alabama?
The more i look at SV's the more i drool over my keyboard :icon_mrgreen:
Free bump for an awesome little bike. Come on guys this bike is CLEAN! Forget about the S models. Buy one of those and in your future is fairing repainting or replacement because you dropped it, a complete re gearing because they are geared too tall, plus not nearly as comfortable.
The naked model is much more fun between the two. Plus he already has a yosh pipe on it, which is about all she needs considering he took the snorkel off. Bike is superb, someone should hop on one of these, they make a great transition off the GS (though they are still undersprung especially in the front), so you will feel right at home.
by the way, i just googled the trip from las vegas to tulsa, thought it was closer but 18 hrs won't do it for me. sorry man

The bike looks great, maybe the price is a little too high ? I haven't seen the blue book price or anything, have no idea- just a suggestion. :)
Set up a sale/meet in b'ham and I'll put you up, take you on some fun roads local.
cool man thanks for the offer!
BTW,
I forgot to mention this bike has aftermarket dogbones. it is lowered. She was a little too tall when I got her so I got 1 1/2" lowering dogbones I also have the stock ones so you can bring the height back up if you want to. I also have access to a laser and can cut a new set to whatever length you would like. I offer this service free of charge to the buyer, but only once. So I can raise or lower the bike to suit the buyer.
