It has a few cosmetic mods. :flipoff:

What cosmetic mods? You mean that 69 sticker on the back? You know I don't even see what you're talking about. This thing looks completely stock. :dunno_white: :cookoo:
so does the sticker add horsepower like it does with cars or :dunno_white:
Yeah, I think so. Oh wait, now I see it, there's some custom foot pegs on there too. Pretty cool I guess.
The sticker in the back adds 69 RWHP!! :icon_mrgreen:
Wow, that's a powerful sticker...it's made of vinyl, isn't it? That's what I thought.

eh, if you are into that kind of thing i guess :icon_razz:
Yea right, this thing barely qualifies as a GS500 anymore.
Cool.
Buddha.
The three heaviest things on this bike are all GS500 parts, and if that doesn't count, I don't know what does.
I'd kill for a lighter tank. :icon_razz:
To be a GS or not to be a GS? that is the question. Is it in the frame, the engine, in the ignition? Tis the handlebars in flight, or the headlight at night? Or the rearsets, the faring, or the mean cager glaring? Is it in the seat or the tank? This GS is not a fake. With a '69' sticker and custom foot pegs for the kicker, this thing will haul ass, and will a civic pass? Tis Tuesday morning, and work is very boring.
A GS500 by any other name is still down on power in the straights vs. I-4s.
Sweet bike!
So give us the list on what is still stock on this thing. All I can see is...
• The front part of the frame
• The Tank
• The outside of the engine
• Maybe the front wheel
Anything else?
Quiktaco - why you little ....
R'gal - put up the photo in your avatar ... full leathers and a micro bike is it ...
Cool.
Buddha.
The tank, most of the engine, and the frame are all stock.
Carbs aren't. Top end isn't. Front end, wheels, and swingarm are off of a GSXR 750, the rear shock is Fox, the subframe is a titanium custom, and, of course, the fairings and rearsets aren't stock. PVM rear brake. The exhaust is Kerker - nothing I'd run on the street, but it sounds awesome on the track. Most of the work was done when I got it - this thing was a freaking steal. I bought it as a track bike, bit it's legal for 500 Twins - I've been racing minimoto and supermoto, so now I'm thinking I should run this at a few local races. CA has many disadvantages, as you say, Buddha, but it does have a lot of awesome tracks in close proximity.
The pic is me showing off my mad skillZ by draggin' knee...

That's one awesome bike. What's the power output on it?
0.2 when running race gas.
lol. And the other bike?
The builder (I bought it from the guy who bought it from the builder, but I know the builder, so we've chatted) has dynoed it at 59RWHP on oxygenated race gas. I run plain 110, so probably get a hanful less. It's not a power monster. It does, however, brake late and handle like stink. I've never ridden anything that goes around corners as well as this thing does.
Yes R'gal, you showing good form ... ... nice cornering technique.
BA has racetracks, except like ... I never set foot in one, dont want to either ... however Charlotte has plenty of race tracks too ... too bad they all promote left hand turns only ...
Naaaaaa, VIR and kershaw have bike races. But we is nascrap country. Now remember it is ... north and south carolina auto racing.
Cool.
Buddha.
Stock?????? Look a little closer..... :icon_mrgreen:
