No title - yes, impossible to get in Carolina's. Nice running bike of that vintage without title isn't worth what he wants for it.
Cool.

how much is it worth lol
100 bucks delivered to you. I hope you find a titled gs550 so you can grab parts off this and use it on that.
In fact I knew of atleast one GS550 my welder scrapped, I got its carbs and its floats actually fit and worked in my virago 1100. That alone was worth 20 bucks. But unless you get lucky like that, it is just a huge massive ugly paperweight that really is too cumbersome to hold down paper.

thanks buddah u the buddah lol
Bikes without titles are worth very little.
If there's a legitimate "loss of paper" or whatever, the owner would be better off getting one before trying to sell it - it if can be done, it makes the bike worth something - though 26 year old bikes that are not BMWs or Harleys have certain parts aging and parts availability problems, which I why I now have a GS.
As a "storage auction find", getting this thing re-titled is probably impossible, or at least near-impossibly difficult.
pass.
Buy it and break it, its worth more in bits.
Its a GS550 not 500.
I actually have heard people say, well I paid such and such for it ... and then the motor seized or they got nailed by a car or what not ...
You see, that little crash you had, its the sound of 100's of your money flying out of the bike.
There is a couple of them rotting away at my nearest bone yard. Some stuff may be coaxed into other bikes, but the rest is usually worthless. He also has a virago 1000, a nighthawk 550, and a GS700E which I dont see as worthless at all ... cos they have some evolutionary parts for the bikes commonly in use today.
