Title: Fairing identification, again.
Post by: omrimon on July 20, 2008, 01:23:56 PM
Can anyone recognize of what type of bike and year this fairing and tail piece came from?

Cheers,

Omri

It might be Airtech's Titan kit.

Looks like R6, 99-02.

Neither piece is from a stock bike.  That is clearly race bodywork on that GS500 as the front fairing  has no headlight holes and and the tail looks like every other race tail I have ever seen.

The fairing is very similar to that of a first generation R6 (1999-2002), but contour of the  trailing edge of the upper and lower fairings are all wrong.

Most race bodywork looks pretty similar to one another.

The trailing edge of the upper and lower fairings have been cut away.

I doubt it.  Even the scallop of the 'vent' by the case cover follows the same contour as the case cover.

Ding ding ding! we have a winner.

Spot on, dgyver. Apparently it's a 99-02 R6 race fairing which was modified just like dgyver mentioned.

99-02 R6 fairing on ebay looks exactly the same.
