Title: Wrenching Help
Post by: commuterdude on July 22, 2008, 06:15:31 PM
I've been using a couple of things which have made wrenching a little easier.  First I was given a little Craftsman creeper for my last b-day, and it is perfect for rolling around the bike at engine level.
I set a small footstool on top if I need to.   Works great.

Secondly, one of those headband mounted flashlights has really come in good.   I can turn it on, and get a nice bright light wherever I look.

When you get over the hill, (be 42 next week) "fat boy" mods and tricks start to really come in handy!

....advantage ---> fat boy!   Cunning conquers youth!

I have one of those headlamps too and it is wonderful for working on things.  Another of my favorite tools is my magnetic parts dish...just stick it where you want and keep all the sheite stuck there too :thumb:
